Do you think its worth it to buy BF2? I am bored of the lack of people on et so I am thinking that BF2 might be a good alternative.

I'd recommend COD4 over BF2, but that's my personal opinion, others may disagree.

i have them both and i would say cod4 is better if you can run it but BF2 is hard to beat especially when you get a group of us playing Smile

I do recommend BF2. Good team fun, good maps, unfortunately lots of smacktards and immature people but overall great game.

I play a mod for it called Project Reality which makes it more realistic and a ton more demanding on teamplay. There are a lot more mature people. Unfortunately to my experience most of the current Moo BF2 players don't like it.

My 2 cents.

Anthony Out.

I haven't played Cod4, but will get it soon no doupt. but i dont think you can get vehicles in it and the maps arnt as big as BF2, id guess.

BF2 is great fun, personally i dont play it on my own, but its easy to get one of us on to it when u have xfire.

I dunno what the connection would be like for you accross the pond... we cant play on the US servers cus of the high ping, so dunno what your connection would be like to the EU servers.

I will buy BF2 tomorrow, thanks for all your input Smile . My ping to moo seemed to be around 160-200, is that ok? I am not sure how Bf2 pings relate to gameplay.

0,2 seconds is a pretty high latency when you're in a dog fight or in close combat.. By the time you see a jet comming you've been shot by it three times.

yeah on bf2 it isnt so bad because the engine isnt the same as other fps engines (ET,Cod4) where a 200ping does mean a two second lag. BF2 you start juttering around once you hit 250-300 ish Smile
